Via The Japan Times May 17, 2012 Recently many young Japanese girls have become attracted to some good-looking young monk hunks in Japan. A monthly art gallery show produced by the monastics called “Be Healed by Young Monks” is attended by many eager young women in their 20s and 30s. Also a book published in March entitled "The Illustrated Picture Book of Beautiful Young Monks" has become quite popular and indicates a strong desire among young Japanese women to really get to know their manly monks in "the Biblical sense". Japanese Buddhist monks may not want to be so desired, but they are very active in raising awareness and interest in Buddhism.
